Dr. Dre Announces Joint Album With Marsha Ambrosius

Dr. Dre announces new album with Marsha Ambrosius.

Dr. Dre is finally going to bless us with some new music. The seven-time Grammy-winning producer/rapper announced on Sunday (December 12) via Instagram that he’s completed a new project titled “Casablanco” with British singer Marsha Ambrosius.

“I just finished recording an album with Marsha Ambrosius,” he wrote. “Casablanco I had a blast!! This is some of my best work!!”

Ambrosius posted a black and white picture of herself and Dre in the studio, with a caption that copies Dre’s. “I just finished recording an album with Dr. Dre “Casablanco” I had an amazing time!! This is some of my best work!!!,” her caption read.

Not much else was revealed about the upcoming project, including a release date, but both Dre and Ambrosius described it as some of their “best work.”

Dr. Dre hasn’t released an album since 2015’s Compton. The album inspired by the Academy Award-nominated N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton featured collaborations with Ambrosius on four of the album’s 16 tracks including; “Genocide,” “All in a Day’s Work,” “Darkside/Gone,” and “Satisfaction.” The West Coast legend also produced “Stronger” off the UK artist’s Friends & Lovers album.

Casablanco will be Ambrosius’ first full-length project since her 2018 album, Nyla, named after her first-born daughter.
