Drake is teaming up with ESPN to curate music for the network’s popular Monday Night Football games.
ESPN announced the collaboration on Tuesday (Sept. 7) stating that the Certified Lover Boy will help select music for live telecasts, promotional assets and pre-game shows for 10 games throughout the 2021-22 football season.
“Now we are here…the kickoff of the football season. And who better to curate music for Monday Night Football than Drake who sits firmly at the intersection of music and sports. We couldn’t be more excited for this upcoming collaboration,” Emeka Ofodile, Vice President of Sports Marketing, ESPN, said. “The music curator role has been a big hit with our fans with Diplo and DJ Khaled in previous years….and this season, we will be living inside the moment with Drake as our NFL on ESPN soundtrack.”
The segment will reportedly feature some of Drake’s newest songs as well as some classics from his discography and new music from other artists.
The 6 God already made his ESPN debut when he hacked” into SportsCenter last month to share the release date for his sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy.
