Kanye West Shares Pic Of His Childhood House Ahead Of DONDA Release

Kanye West will be returning to his hometown of Chicago next week for his third and hopefully (Big hope) final DONDA listening album event and the rapper is already feeling nolstagic.

Ye deleted all the photos on his Instagram page and posted a slightly edited picture of the house he grew up in on the south side of Chicago. The house was sold last year for $225,000.


Kanye’s tentative album DONDA is named after and dedicated to the rapper’s late mother – Donda West so perhaps this is another way of the rapper remembering where it all started.

It can also mean he’s back in Chicago.

DONDA was supposed to be released last month, but that date was moved to early August but still, no album. He has been tinkering with the album since the first listening session in Atalanta, which broke Apple Music’s Global Livestream record with 3.3 million viewers.

The third listening session is scheduled to take place at Chicago’s Soldier Field on August 26. Fingers crossed for the album dropping this time.

Kanye West was raised in the south side of Chicago by his single mother, Donda West. She sadly passed away in 2007 from a reported pre-existing coronary artery disease alongside a slew of post-operative complications; she had liposuction and mammoplasty done the day prior to her passing.
