New Music Friday.

Best new music for this week features new musical releases from Sevyn Streeter, Ms Banks, DJ Pharris and more. 

Also veteran Nigerian producer Teck-Zilla released his new collaborative effort with Mista Books titled “The Harder The Better.” Additionally Ariana Grande serves up the highly-anticipated video for “34+35” featuring Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion. 

Other notable releases this week comes from Rowdy Rebel, Gigi Lamayne, Lil Tjay and Phife Dawg. Because we’re humans and not robots (unfortunately) we can’t always get them all. These are some of the best new music we missed this week. All in one place for your listening pleasure. We care!

Sevyn Streeter Feat. Chris Brown & A$AP Ferg “Guilty.”

While fans continue to await the arrival of her long-overdue album Drunken Wordz Sober Thoughtz. Sevyn Streeter enlists the services of Chris Brown and A$AP Ferg for her new hypnotic single “Guilty.” 

Ariana Grande Feat. Doja Cat & Megan Thee Stallion “34+35”

 

Ariana Grande, Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion spend some quality girl time in a lavish hotel and show off their banging bodies whilst sipping champagne in the video for “34+35.” The original appeared on Ariana’s latest album Positions.

Erica Banks Feat. Travis Scott “Buss It” Remix

 

Travis Scott joins Erica Banks on the official remix to her Tik Tok hit single “Buss It.” La Flame adds an infectious opening verse to the breakout song, which samples Nelly’s 2002 hit single “Hot In Herre.”

DJ Pharris Feat. Chance The Rapper, Wiz Khalifa & Rockie Fresh “Everything New”

 

Renowned Chicago DJ, DJ Pharris celebrates his birth day (Feb. 12) with a new Wiz Khalifa, Chance The Rapper and Rockie Fresh assisted offering titled “Everything New.”

“When I heard the beat, I knew immediately, I needed to call Wiz to get on this,” Pharris told Complex of the star-studded collaboration. “With the pandemic going on, some of us could use a little retail therapy. So I wanted to make a song for that. Kinda like a soundtrack for people like me who like to cop new shit and look good. Once I got the Wiz hook, I sent it to Chance to lay his verse and then to Rockie. It all came together pretty fast.”

The collaboration will be included on DJ Pharris’ upcoming debut project, Coronation, which drops on March 12 via This Chicago Music Group. 

TeckZilla x Mista Books “The Harder The Better” 

Teck-Zilla adds another project to his extensive and impressive catalog. Teaming up with fellow Nigerian Mista Books, the Str8 Buttah OG drops “The Harder The Better,” a new seven track effort inspired by classic ‘90s hip-hop and old school flicks they both grew up on. 

The project also features appearances from Phlow, Ex-O, Prophecy and Atalanta-based MC Mack Gee. 

Rowdy Rebel Feat. NAV “Jesse Owens”

Rowdy Rebel continues his musical resurgence with a new NAV assisted joint titled “Jesse Owens,” named after the US athlete popular for winning four gold medals at the 1936 Olympics.

Lil Tjay Feat. 6LACK “Calling My Phone”

 

 Lil Tjay gets all in his feelings in his new somber track “Calling My Phone” featuring Atlanta artist 6LACK. 

Phife Dawg Feat. Busta Rhymes & Redman “Nutshell Pt. 2” 

 

 Phife Dawg’s estate shares a new posthumous single from the late A Tribe Called Quest legend called “Nutshell Pt. 2” featuring Busta Rhymes and Redman. The collaboration will appear on Phife’s upcoming album “Forever,” which is scheduled for release sometime this year. 

Young Thug Feat. Meek Mill & T-Shyne “That Go”

Young Thug has been prepping the release of his YSL imprint compilation project for a while now. Following the release of Yak Gotti’s “GFU” single featuring his labelmate Yung Kayo and Cactus Jack rapper Sheck Wes. Young Thug teams up with Meek Mill and T-Shyne for a new song off the yet to be titled project.

Rouge started the new year on a cheerful mood given us two new tracks (“Popular” Remix and “Gearbox.”) and she’s not done yet. The South African rapper, who is one of our Six African female rappers to watch out for proves why she’s regarded as a force with a new fiery freestyle over Jack Harlow’s “What’s Popping” beat. She ate. 

E.L. “Baba Dey”

 
Multi talented Ghanaian artist E.L. shines brightest when he takes us to church. On his new drop “Baba Dey,” Lomi reminds us to always be thankful in the midst of adversity. Produced by Pee GH, “Baba Dey” will appear on his upcoming album WAVS dropping later this year. 

Gigi Lamayne “FXCK EVERYBODY”

 
Gigi has heard all your back talks and she’s answering it all on her new rap single “FXCK EVERYBODY.” Over a bouncy trap beat Gigi flips the bird and reminds the competition why she’s not to be played with.
