Drake Is The First Artist In History To Hit 50 Billion Streams On Spotify


Drake continues to break records without even trying. According to a tweet from Chart Data, The certified Lover Boy has become the first artist in history to generate 50 billion total streams on Spotify. 


A breakdown from Chart Data shows Drake accumulated 35,704,203,269 streams for songs in which he is credited as the lead artist. While his streams as a featured artist, amassed a whopping 14,297,795,559 total streams. When added up the total comes to 50,001,998,828 billion streams.

The rapper celebrated the historic achievement by sharing the announcement on his Instagram story.


Despite only releasing Dark Lane Demo Tapes last year, Drake still topped Spotify’s list of most streamed artists in 2020 with 5.615 billion streams. 

The Canadian’s new album Certified Lover Boy is still expected to arrive this month.
