Tory Lanez has pleaded not guilty to shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
The 28-year old rapper wasn’t present at his court hearing on Wednesday, but According to the New York Daily News, his lawyer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf to one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
Megan didn’t appear in court either, but the outlet reports that the state of Los Angeles can level more charges against the Toronto rapper/singer for possibly violating his court order to stay 100 feet from Megan. He has also been told to surrender any guns he owns.
Tory, born Daystar Peterson is currently facing 22 years in prison for allegedly shooting Megan The Stallion two times in her feet on July 12th after leaving a party at Kylie Jenner’s house.
Tory has since denied the allegations on social media. “[Time] will [tell] … and the truth will come to the light … I have all faith in God to show that,” he tweeted after being charged last month.
