Wielding a unique sense of rhythm and a mastery of burbling melodies, Lil Gotit is a favorite son of the Atlanta trap scene. Getting back in his bag with an infectious rich life anthem, Gotit shares “Tellin Ya,” his latest video single.
On “Tellin Ya,” Gotit gets his Muhammad Ali on, floating like a butterfly with melodic arias, and stinging like a bee with clipped cadences and sharp ad-libs. In the video, Gotit dresses to the nines in butterfly-themed designer, mobbing under neon lights with guest rapper Lil PJ. “Tellin Ya” is Gotit’s first new song since “What It Was,” a dramatic collaboration with trap godfather Future, and first video since the intimate, WHIPALO-directed “Crazy Thoughts,” a highlight from the 21-year-old rapper’s April 2020 project Hood Baby 2.
