Nas Explains Why Him And Biggie Never Got To Do A Song Together

Nas talks not working with Biggie, and JAY-Z dropping new music on the same day as him.

Nas checked into The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (Aug. 25) for the first time in ten years to promote his critically acclaimed album with Hit-Boy King’s Disease.

During his time on the show the Queensbridge legend spoke to Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee about a few topics including why he never did a song with The Notorious B.I.G. when he was alive. Nas explained he got too high in the studio during their session, and that he had plans of remixing some of the songs on Ready To Die.

“Igot too high, I was in the studio and Big was rolling up, and he didn't warn me,” Nas explained. “There are pictures of that session out there, I was gonna remix some stuff on "Ready To Die". One of the songs was "Gimmie The Loot"

He also addressed Jay Z dropping new music the same day as him. It’s publicly known that Jay-Z has been coincidentally dropping new music on the same day as Nas for over a decade. When Charlamagne Tha God brought it up, Nas calmly dismissed any talk of foul play on JAY-Z’s part. “There’s an energy that we both have where we work around the same time,” Nas unbotheredly replied before adding. “That’s some coincidence, I don’t know about that. I think things just happens, it’s the synergy. Jay would know better than me.”

Twitter Thinks Jay-Z Has Been Intentionally Trying To Sabotage Nas’ Album Rollouts
