In celebration of 50 Cent’s 45th birthday, Atlanta rapper T.I. challenged him to a hits battle on Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz arena.

“I heard its 50 Cent’s birthday. Happy Birthday Fifty. I appreciate you for staying down. For remaining healthy, alive and free for so long man,” T.I. said on social media on Monday (July 6). “But for your birthday, I offer you a challenge sir. Pull yo ass up with 20 of your records. sit cross from me and get this work. But I understand if you don’t want to answer to that challenge because last time you got challenged, Kanye West dusted yo ass off so, you might not want to do that!”

The challenge Tip was referring to was the epic 2007 album sales battle between 50 Cent and Kanye West. Fif, who was the toast of the hip hop world at the time arrogantly promised to retire if Kanye West’s third studio album Graduation outsold his third studio album Curtis. Both albums dropped on the same day (Sep. 11, 2007) and after seven days – West dusted Fif by a considerable margin: 957,000 copies sold to Fiddy’s 691,000 copies.

T.I. continued, “Guess who ain’t scared of your muthafuckin’ ass, 50?” Bring your hit records with you. You and Dr. Dre and Eminem and gotdamn G-Unit … y’all bring y’all’s asses out. Come see the king.”

About an hour after T.I.’s challenge went viral, Fif clapped back with some casual trolling on Instagram: “Yo somebody passed T.I. the weed they gave smokey in Friday. L.O.L.”

The “My Life” rapper made it clear that the two weren’t beefing and that he just wants smoke with Fif’s catalogue.

“You and me, we’re alright. I fought with you 50, it ain’t you this time. It’s your catalogue that got some trouble, you understand? Your motherfucking catalogue is in trouble.”

Who do you have wining in a hits battle between the two? Let us know.
