“Starting my new year off with dual citizenship. Africa, I’m official!” He wrote.

In the Instagram clip he also announced that his mother and two daughters also received Gabonese citizenship.

Ludacris, who has always been vocal about his love for Africa visited Ghana during the holidays to partake in the Year Of Return celebrations. Year Of Return was an initiative of the Ghanian government with the sole aim of encouraging people of African descent, whose ancestors were victims of the transatlantic slave trade, to return to Ghana.
“Our ancestors never gave up Faith. You can never imprison our minds nor our spirits,” the 42-year old captioned a photo f him standing in front of a Male Slave Dungeon. “They empowered me to Return. I have completed the cycle and I’m beginning a new Cycle. The Chains have been Broken and the indomitable resilience of African People Triumphs.”
