UPDATE: Shatta Wale apparently claimed Sarkodie and a few other Ghanaian artists are wallowing in poverty during an interview session on Ghana’s Luv FM. The Sarkcess rapper didn’t take the jab lightly and has responded accordingly. He even addressed the poverty claims.. “Who gives a fuck about your chicken change property/ If being poor be like me then father I beg you just bless me with poverty.”
Don’t know what shatta Wale did to get sarkodie riled up – but now I bet he wished he didn’t.
Dressed in white shirt and black pants, sark with a drink in hand effortlessly lectures Wale about his mandate and the true meaning of fame.
“I’m on a mission to push Ghana forward/ I had to put career on hold so say this new artist go cash out some dollars,” he raps. “So if I see some destruction, I for address am cos niggha dey misuse em powers.”
“Only if you all nigghas knew what I am doing,” Sark continues. “Me and my team are brainstorming for hours/ confidence is when you able to complement people without you feeling insecure/ so if you feel say you’ve got it, no need to downplay the next man.”
The further the song plays the more you realize why he tagged it “Advice.”
“This no be beef just stay and listen/ me and you cool no crazy friction/ but my frustration be say I dey try move Ghana forward but I’m still baby sitting.”
The best part about this track is not the bars, but the fact that shatta wale can’t reply without sounding scorned. Best he can do in my opinion is to respond with a rebuttal to all Sark has said on this. But what I know?
