Kevin Gates Debuts 'What If' Video, Pens Letter To Fans From Prison

Kevin Gates is currently doing 30 months for gun possession but he continues to ensure that his fans are not left hanging on the music front. The Baton Rouge rapper keeps hope alive with an introspective video for his single "What If."

The video which you can watch above was shot in his hometown of Louisiana.

Supporting the new video was a handwritten letter penned by Gates himself from behind bars.

"A great person is measured by all the great test they can undergo," he wrote "And still remain true to who they are."

Also, Gates via his team will be releasing a new project on September 21. The project titled "By Any Means 2" will serve as a follow up to 2014's "By Any Means."

Along with the announcement, Gates wastes no time in dropping the project's first single "Had To."
