Diddy Is The Highest Paid Hip-Hop Artist Of 2017

Sean "Diddy" Combs reigns supreme as Hip-Hop's Cash king once again.

Earlier in the week, Forbes released its annual highest paid Hip-Hop artists list -- with some new bloods making it into the mix this year.

Diddy remained at the apex with a whopping $130 million. According to the business magazine, most of Diddy's earnings come from Ciroc Vodka, Deleon tequila, Aquahydrate water, the Bad Boy reunion tour and selling a portion of Sean Jean clothing line for an estimated $70 million.

"I've always understood that if I give the customers my best and service them differently, whether music, clothing or vodka, I’ll get a return on my hard work,” he recently explained to Forbes.

Drake comes a not-so-close second with $94 million. A bulk of the Canadian's income came from his hugely successful "Boy Meets World Tour." He also profits from deals with brands like Apple, Nike and Sprite. Jay Z enters the list at No. 3 with earnings of $42 million.

Chance The Rapper debuts at No. 5 with $33 million, while Yachty (another new comer) ranks at No. 20 with $11 million. It needs to be said that most of Chance's earnings comes from performing at shows as well as branded deals with Apple and Kit Kat.

Another noteable name on the list is, Kung Fu Kenny who comes in at No. 6 with $30 million, Nicki Minaj - the only woman on the list ranks at No. 16 with $16 million.

"Khaled, who bagged $24 million for himself credits most of his success to smart investments. “People probably thought I was crazy to just spend my last penny to invest in myself,” Khaled tells Forbes. “Now it's paying off … one thing I learned is some investments might take years to kick in, and they are kicking in.”
