According to legal docs obtained by your favorite gossip site, Kanye West may have to battle it out with a Chinese based company for the rights to use his Yeezy nickname for his non-footwear brands. TMZ reports that Kanye's company has owned the name Yeezy for footwear branded items since 2013 but for unknown reasons decided to abandon trademarking the name for clothing items in 2017.

That slight goof may end up causing the company millions as a Chinese company named Fuijan Baby Network Technology Co. pounced on the opportunity by immediately filing trademark paperwork for the term "Yeezy Boost" for its clothing products. When West's company refiled its application for Yeezy clothing, they were told the name had already been taken.

I personally feel this was more of a business (money) move by Fuijan Baby Network and nothing else. Heck ... I would've done the same if I knew the name hadn't been trademarked. If Kanye really wants the name that bad for his clothing line, he's going to have to cough out some serious dollars.
